 William Shapiro began practicing law in California after working for the State of Delaware’s Department of Justice. Since returning to California, he established his own practice, focusing on the needs of individuals. Among the issues he has handled, he has taken on landlords, guided clients through the legal maze of divorce and child custody matters, as well as, taken on appellate issues. Since returning to California, he has been recognized by the San Francisco Bar Association for his commitment to serving the community in 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007. He graduated cum laude from Brandeis University in 1996 with high honors in History. He earned his Master’s of Philosophy Degree in European Studies from the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England in 1998. He went onto graduate from George Washington University with juris doctor in 2001, but not before achieving finalist in the Russell W. Galloway Criminal Moot Court Competition. Mr. Shapiro’s pro bono work includes advocating for low-income clients in federal civil rights actions, landlord-tenant disputes and child custody matters.
